Oh, happy anniversary to Daughter-of-Gallifrey!

I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I first set up this website and (some time later) added the url Daughter of Gallifrey. Somehow I liked the idea of being the Doctor’s daughter. Or just *a* daughter of Gallifrey.

Since that first day in later October 2016, this site has gone through a few changes. For the longest time it lay dorment. I had ideas what to do with it but they never truly manifested.

First and foremost, it was supposed to be an outlet for all my passions, my creative outlets. Conventions, theatre, photography and last but not least my writing. Since I struggled to put any of my story on paper (or the digital equivalent of this website) that last part ended up being the least until a certain little TV show named Interview with the Vampire tickled my imagination and it was an itch I could not refuse to scratch.

What was supposed to be another attempt at writing, one that “for sure” was doomed to fail, like so many others before, eventually led to the “birth” of my brain baby Wendell, and I couldn’t imagine my life without him.

So I’m celebrating today with Wendell, the love of his life Rashid and their cat Bruno, as well as with all my writer friends that I made along the way. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you! Your unwavering support gave me the courage to be the (mostly) confident writer I am now.

I’m glad I never gave up as a “Daughter of Gallifrey”!
